Adventures We've Done

Day 21: Chicken Nugget Eating Contest

Tonight we went to Midsummer at the Utah Shakespeare Festival (which was fantastic by the way!) and afterwards we were extremely hungry. So, we naturally decided to make dinner a chicken nugget eating contest! So... we did. ha. We bought 40 chicken nuggets each. anyways it was really quite disgusting of us... Not just because we now feel terribly sick, but because...well...you see... our babies... (our baby CHICKS)... are right upstairs... What terrible parents we are! Anyways we are too ashamed to continue writing. PETA please don't come after us. Good night.

Day 20: Epic Pie Fight!

As voted by our viewers, we threw pies at each other today! This adventure was really fun and messy. Elisa definitely got messier than Marivel did. For your enjoyment we recorded it all, make sure to check it out! Thanks for voting! This definitely was an awesome adventure! Don't forget to vote for next weeks adventure.

Day 19: Tortilla Island

This is our Island! (We are the little marshmallows.) Our raft (aka a Reeses Cup) washed up on Tortilla Island where we plan to rule forever! Who says you can't play with your food? Just pull stuff out of your fridge and cupboards and have a blast! We did! (FYI it was definitely funner to make than eat... ha)

Day 18: Decorate for cheap!

Before...
Getting started...

Today we grabbed some finger paints, a whole ton of paper, and just went nuts! It took three of us almost two hours just to do this one wall, but we're hoping to do the rest of the walls in the room eventually. It was fun to just doodle what ever we wanted to... with our fingers!!! It was a blast, plus a sweet and cheap way to decorate the living room! We recommend it if you want to have fun, need to decorate, and don't have much dinero.

After!!

Day 17: Abandoned Golf Course!

For today's adventure we went to an abandoned mini golf course! There was a ton of weeds and the course was in pretty bad shape but we still decided to play on it. While we were waiting for our friend who had the putters to get there, we decided to play by rolling the ball with our hands. It was a little hard to see the balls in the night time and it especially sucked when they got stuck in the weeds. But we used our phones to light the path and had a ton of fun! We really want to buy the course and fix it up. Cedar City definitely needs a mini golf course. Have you guys ever been to any abandoned places?

Day 16: Yard Sale-ing!

Today we went to a giant Yard Sale! There were a whole bunch of families involved. We got some funky outfits for under a dollar as you can see in our pictures. There was also some kids there trying to sell cookies so that they could take a family trip to Lego land. You can bet we definitely bought some from them! Hooray for family trips! :)

Day 15: Dumpster Diving

The coolest thing we found in the Dumpster
Yes we did indeed go dumpster diving. We didn't find anything too interesting. The dumpster had a lot less cardboard than it did two days ago...hehehe... but we did find some boxes of programs for the Utah Shakespeare Festival that were from two years ago... makes sense seeing as we're so close... Our friend Morgan who's on a mission right now would be proud of us. haha. Shout out to you Morgan- we love you!!

Day 14: Baby Chickies!!!

Our lovely setup of their home. haha

Fergus
Ernie
For today's adventure we bought some adorable little chicks! Their names are Ernie and Fergus. (Our friend Heather bought Fergus so that Ernie could have a friend.) They are so adorable and fun to have! In 5 months they will lay eggs. According to the lady at the store, Fergus is supposed to lay green eggs. Ha! can't wait to see that.

Day 13: If you're homeless, we can hook you up. Seriously.

Ok so today's adventure ended up being beyond super fun! we grabbed some friends, cardboard, and duct tape, and built a giant fort!! complete with a cabinet, two doors, and 3 windows. We had fun turning it into Starbucks, a Day Care, a Lemonade Stand, and finally a house. BUT! we had to move it because the sprinklers were going to come on! So, we picked it up and walked with it to the amusement of all our neighbors. This adventure was great fun and way too time consuming. hahaha. Did you ever build a fort as a child???

Day 12: Tortillas!

The process of making tortillas.

Today we made some legit homemade tortillas from scratch!! It was super easy and super tastey. Just mix some Masa, water, and salt, form it into balls, flatten it, heat it up, and bam! instant tortilla. have you ever made tortillas? If not go buy some Masa and try it. Then, tell us all about it- send pictures too! we'd love it :)

Day 11: you asked for it- monkey time!

The votes are in and we did indeed peel open bananas with our feet! It was thoroughly disgusting. Well, for your enjoyment be sure to watch the clip of todays adventure. Also, make sure you vote on our new poll for our next peoples choice adventure!!!

Day 10: Hanging Out of Car Windows

Today's adventure was quite fun. We decided to hang out of the car windows while Rachelle drove around the street. It was really funny and scary at the same time. We couldn't see anything that was going on- we could only feel the breeze hitting us, so we had to hope that we weren't going to hit anything or that a cop wasn't going to pull us over. We started off on a one way street so we had to go around onto the main street to get back to the apartment. While we were coming back, this car behind us honked at us. It was pretty funny. Enjoy this video we made of our experience. Let us know what your favorite part is: Bryan and Austin's swan dance move, Heather's laugh, or Marivel's answer to her experience.

Day 9: Tae Kwan Do

Because we had so much fun yesterday at a Utah Summer Games event, we decided to go to another one today- Tae Kwan Do! We almost didn't make it to the event. We were wandering around trying to find our way into the building when luckly we spotted some Asians. We followed them, and we found our way!! haha... anyways it was great fun seeing such young kids and their skills in Martial Arts. We decided that if we were cooler, we would do Tae Kwan Do... the end.

Day 8: World Championship! er... Cedar Championship...

Cedar City hosts the Utah Summer Games every summer. One of the events is a Ping-Pong tournament! We went and had a blast watching the extremely intense battles. We especially had fun 'assigning' every person there as a rep. from a different country. We decided the kid in red pictured is from Canada (bc he is wearing red and he kept saying Aye! every time he missed the ball) and the man in black we decided is from some kind of hippie island... he was our favorite. It was an awesome event and a crazy cool adventure!

Day 7: *Pop pop pop*

For today's activity we threw random objects at a balloon until we got it to pop. It was really fun throwing things and trying to guess which one of our objects was actually going to get the balloon to pop. We both definitely need to work on our aim though. (If you're going to try this, we suggest not throwing things at the wall. You might leave dents or pen marks on the wall)

Day 6: World's Biggest Marshmallows!

Today we went up to the mountains and had a bonfire with a couple of friends. We ate s'mores and roasted the biggest marshmallows we've ever seen! There was a little swing set next to our fire pit so we definitely took advantage of that. After we got sick from all of the sugar and swinging we went exploring in the woods. It was pretty fun. We got to see the Big Dipper and Orion's Belt! This activity was really fun! It was nice to take a break from school and hang out with some friends. We are definitely going to go back to this spot again sometime soon.

Day 5: You Spin my head right round!

Ok so todays activity was a pretty stupid idea, but it was freaking fun. Funny how that works right? Anyways we had a spinning contest. We both spun around and around until we dropped. It was all super fun and hilarious until we stopped after more than 6 minutes. Our heads and stomachs hurt the rest of the night! It sucked, but it was worth it!! We've sped up the movie of our experience so that it's only 3 min if you wanna check it out. (even to just hear our chipmunk voices- it's pretty hilarious)

Day 4: Construction

Todays activity was making things out of toothpicks and marshmallows. We didn't think it would take that long to make things, but some of us (Elisa) ended up spending way too long constructing. It was fun though! (If you do this, make sure you get a lot of marshmallows. You end up eating more than you think.)

Day 3: We're puzzled.

Today we opened a 1000 piece puzzle!! It's quite the adventure to tackle... we definitely didn't finish this adventure today, but we will continue to work on it until we conquer it! Putting together puzzles is both relaxing and challenging. We recommend it!

The finished product!

Day 2 "Hao!"

An Ironman competitor

For todays adventure we discovered a Pow-wow going on today at the Paiute Tribal Center! So, we grabbed some headbands, practiced saying 'Hao' and went. It was great! There was this awesome competition going on called the 'Ironman' where men take turns seeing who can do the aerobic dancing for the longest amount of time. After that we went to go find some Paiute food to eat. We ended up with Navajo tacos, cotton candy, and the largest stack of curly-fries known to man. (really Native American right?)They made the fries right there fresh- they even cut the potatoes in front of you. When our cook pulled out our fries we were sure that it was meant for multiple people. but then he gave it all to us!! You can't tell in the picture, but it was a complete cube of fries. We'll be trying to finish them all over the next year or so... Anyways another highlight of the adventure was when it got windy, and the announcer said, "whoa, everyone hold on to your teepees!" All in all it was a great adventure!

Another thing the announcer said that was funny was,
"Indians, I know how you like your second helpings!"

Day 1: Sock Puppets!!

Our special guest, Heather

Aaaaalright! Today was our first official day of adventuring!!! And sock puppets won as the idea for our first activity! So.... of course that's what we did :). Not gunna lie, this was a little too much fun to do. We definitely felt like little kids!! Thanks everyone who participated in our poll- be sure to do the new one!
